Alena Leena Bridal arrives at Halo & Wren.

In March I get to visit One Fine Day in London where I get to meet new designers and view the gowns that I might stock at Halo & Wren. All sounds super exciting right? Well yes it is! It’s amazing, it’s a fun filled few days where I zip across London visiting White Gallery and back to OFD grabbing unhealthy snacks as I go!

It’s certainly not as glam as it sounds and by the end of the three days I am always completely exhausted but also so very much inspired and I get to see so many of my Bridal Paul’s from across the UK & overseas.

This year, I had my eye on a few new designers and booked a few appointments but also needed to see my current  designers and their new collections. I am always blown away with how beautiful and unique the gowns are and this season was no exception. But One designer really stood out for me; Alena Leena Bridal who is a Ukraine born designer based in South Africa when I entered her floor at OFD, her gowns immediately caught my eye.

I only buy what I actually LOVE for Halo & Wren, I am my Bride and I know that if I LOVE LOVE LOVE it then so will you. Her gowns were all so different from each other! I almost couldn’t pick, actually felt like a child in a candy shop luckily Rob was there to rein me in.

Not only did I love every gown but I also loved Alona the Designer, she was so warm, friendly, accommodating (I am having two custom gowns made for H&W - well I couldn’t pick between them!!) she listened to my thoughts on necklines, my insistence that the gowns were lightweight, flexible and relaxed but mainly she understood my bride. Her gowns do not look like any others and that a criteria for me to buy, I can’t have seen the gown everywhere as I know my Brides want to look unique, they’re affordable and they offer split sizing.
